From July, 2003 for a period of approximately 3 months was the making of the movie "Strange Bedfellows" a great feel good comedy with an excellent message of acceptance and compassion. The movie went on to be a box office hit in Australia and is now showing overseas.
Featuring great stars including Michael Caton, Paul Hogan, Pete Postlewaite and a host of others, including many local townspeople as extras.
The making of this movie has brought many tourists to our town and while the crew were here they slept, ate, shopped and partied with all of us.
It was a fantastic time and from all of us in Yackandandah we would like to send our heartfelt thanks to them all. Not only for making the move here but the happiness and fun times that this great group of people shared with us.
So if you haven't seen the movie, see it, and come to town and you'll recognise the buildings and the many local faces that appeared the big screen.
